When Your Athlete Is Injured, You Need More Than “Regular PT.”
A lower-body injury affects more than their sport — it affects their future, their confidence, and their identity. And choosing the wrong rehab path can cost you:
More time away from sport
More money wasted
Higher risk of re-injury
A frustrated athlete who loses confidence
Most clinics rush athletes back or rely on guesswork.
We don’t.
No Rushing. No Guessing. No Cookie-Cutter Rehab.
Every athlete is different. Every injury is different.
Your child gets a plan tailored to their timeline — not an “accelerated” program designed to sell false hope.
We protect your athlete’s future first, then we build them into the strongest version of themselves.
WHO WE HELP:
ACL injuries
Meniscus injuries
Patellar tendinitis/tendinopathy
Achilles tendinitistendinopathy
Ankle sprains & instability
Hamstring strains/tears
Hip flexor & groin strains
Post-op surgical recovery
Second opinion cases
End-stage rehab/performance training

Reduce pain, swelling, restore motion, and create the foundation for safe progress.

Strengthen the knee, hip, and ankle with sports-specific strength programming.

Develop speed, balance, coordination, and movement control — the things that truly reduce the risk of re-injury.

We prepare your athlete for the demands of their sport (running, cutting, jumping, sprinting, contact).
1-on-1 Personalized Treatment
You receive a fully individualized session every visit with a licensed physical therapist. Each appointment is a complete 60 minutes — never rushed, never shared, and never performed by aides or assistants.
Accessibility: 24 Hour Response Time
Your therapist stays fully accessible throughout your entire recovery. During sessions and between sessions, you get direct communication and answers within 24 hours — guaranteed.
Sports Specific Rehab
Only
We don’t dabble in sports injuries. We specialize exclusively in knees, hips, and ankles, ensuring your athlete gets expert-level care from day one to full return to sport.
500+ Athletes Returned to Sport
From middle school to college athletes, we’ve helped high performers, high achievers, and highly motivated athletes return to sport stronger than before. You’re in experienced hands.
Objective Data — Not Opinions
We use the same technology trusted by professional sports teams: VALD Force Plates, VALD Strength Dynamometers, and 3D Motion Analysis. No eyeballing. No guessing. Every decision is driven by data.
Transforming Lives: The Results-Driven Approach
Whether your goal is returning to the field or returning to the active life you love, we guide you every step of the way. Success isn’t just a goal — it’s our expectation.

THE PRIMAL RECOVERY DIFFERENCE
We're dedicated to optimizing your physical potential, whether you're a high school athlete, an active adult, or a professional athlete.

No — we are out-of-network providers, which means we do not bill insurance companies directly. All services at Primal Recovery are paid out-of-pocket at the time of your visit.
However, many of our patients are still able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance depending on their out-of-network physical therapy benefits. In these cases, we can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
We also accept HSA and FSA cards, which many patients use to pay for their care.
Why We Choose Not to Work Directly With Insurance
Our decision to remain out-of-network is intentional.
Traditional insurance-based physical therapy often requires providers to:
• See multiple patients at the same time
• Follow insurance-driven treatment limitations
• Discharge patients early when visits run out
• Prioritize insurance requirements over patient goals
At Primal Recovery, we believe your recovery deserves more than that.
Our model allows us to provide:
• One-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy
• Fully individualized treatment plans
• Objective strength and performance testing
• Treatment based on what you need — not what insurance dictates
Whether you are:
• an athlete trying to return to sport, or
• an active adult who wants to stay strong, pain-free, and doing the activities you love
Our focus is helping you recover fully and build long-term resilience, not just temporarily reduce symptoms.
Fee-for-service physical therapy has proven to be both more efficient and cost-effective compared to traditional PT models. Unlike the traditional model, which often involves lengthy wait times for primary care appointments, meeting deductibles, paying co-pays, and receiving subsequent bills, our approach guarantees 1-on-1 care with the same PT for your full hour appointment, every time. This streamlined process not only saves you time and money but also ensures faster recovery and a quicker return to doing what you love!
No, a doctor's referral is not required for cash-based physical therapy at Primal Recovery PT & Performance. This eliminates the need for scheduling appointments with your primary care provider, saving you both time and money. Rest assured, our therapists are trained to identify any issues that may require further medical attention and will assist you accordingly.
As a new patient, your initial appointment will be a comprehensive evaluation lasting one hour. During this session, your therapist will assess your current impairments, conduct a movement screen to identify any dysfunctions, and begin treatment to alleviate your pain. Following the evaluation, your therapist will create a personalized plan of care, outlining the necessary follow-up sessions to address the root cause of your pain and prevent its recurrence.
